ADMISSION PROFILE
The Master’s Program in Advanced Technology is designed for graduates in physical-mathematical, chemical-biological, computer science, mechanical engineering, and related fields. Applicants should demonstrate:

Interest in one of the program’s Research and Knowledge Application Lines (LGACs).

Strong motivation and interest in research and technological development activities.
-
Responsibility in their work and respect toward others.
Applicants must also meet the following requirements:

Demonstrate mastery of subjects related to their professional training.

Submit an official certificate of completion of studies with a minimum GPA of 8.0.

Pass an English reading comprehension exam, either CENLEX-IPN or TOEFL (minimum 460 points), valid within the last 2 years.

Provide proof of GRE SUBJECT exam (minimum 600 points), EXANI III, or EGEL in their specialty (minimum 1000 points; consult CENEVAL for dates), or pass a knowledge exam approved by the faculty board.

Not have been dismissed from any IPN graduate program, unless such dismissal was overturned by the academic board.

Pass the admission exam.*

Complete a psychometric assessment.
*The admission exam consists of two stages:
- Presentation and defense of the research project protocol, which is the technical proposal of the project the applicant intends to develop if accepted. During the protocol preparation, the applicant is advised by the researcher in charge of the project.
- Interview, aimed at evaluating the applicant’s interest, experience, and commitment to pursuing graduate studies at CICATA.
Admission requirements are specified in the official call for applications, approved by the faculty board each academic period.

Graduates of the Master’s Program in Advanced Technology (MAT) at CICATA-IPN are highly qualified professionals committed to the development of the country, capable of:

Participating in the preparation of proposals related to entrepreneurship, project financing, intellectual property protection, and related areas.
