Applicant Categories
The program distinguishes two types of applicants:
-Category A: Applicants who are currently not employed.
-Category B: Applicants who are incubating or are interested in incubating a technology-based microenterprise.
Admission Requirements
Regardless of category, all applicants must meet the following requirements:

Hold a degree in physical-mathematical, chemical-biological, computer science, mechanical engineering, or related fields.

Dedicate a minimum of 40 hours per week to program activities (full-time) or 20 hours per week (part-time).

Demonstrate mastery of topics related to their previous degree.

Show strong interest and motivation in innovation and technological development, with a commitment to their environment.

Possess aptitude and vocation for developing technological innovations.

Have proficiency in English, particularly in reading and technical writing.

Express interest in one of the program’s Knowledge Generation and Application Lines.
GRADUATE PROFILE
Graduates of the Specialty in Advanced Technology (ETA) at IPN–CICATA Querétaro Unit will be able to apply and transfer knowledge to foster innovation in technology-based products or processes in alignment with their professional training.
Throughout the program, students will acquire technical and logistical skills to plan, execute, and manage technological projects, contributing to the competitiveness of companies at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
Graduates will also emerge as ethical, proactive, and leadership-oriented professionals, prepared to take on strategic roles that promote collaboration between public institutions, private companies, and social groups, enabling the development and implementation of projects that encourage the sustainable application and use of technology.
